1. National Botanical Gardens

One of the nine National Botanical Gardens in South Africa is located just outside Mbombela at the confluence of the Crocodile River and Nels River, which are separated by an extensive promontory.

2. Sudwala Caves

Dating back an estimated 3,000 million years and regarded as the oldest cave system in the world, the Sudwala Caves are a must see.

3. God’s Window Blyde River Canyon

God’s window is so called for the panoramic view of the Lowveld more than 900m down into lush indigenous forest clad ravine.

4. Chimp Eden

Was established in 2006 and is the first and only chimpanzee sanctuary in South Africa.

5. Big Swing Graskop

The Big Swing is one of the world’s highest cable gorge swings and launches off the top of a waterfall.

6. Mac Mac Falls

The 65m high Mac Mac Falls in the Mac Mac River is a declared National Monument.

7. Kaapchehoop

Well known for its wild horses roaming freely, is a charming village situated in Mpumalanga.
